Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller’s professional journey began in an unlikely place: a fourth-generation dairy farm in rural Idaho. Growing up in this environment, he learned the value of hard work, responsibility, and commitment. The long hours spent on the farm instilled a strong sense of discipline, which guided him throughout his life. Before entering the medical field, Dr. Eidemiller gained diverse work experience. He worked as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, where he learned how to make life-and-death decisions in high-stress situations. His expertise in construction further strengthened his practical skills, and he became familiar with carpentry, electrical systems, and residential construction. Additionally, he worked in the restaurant industry, where he honed his ability to multitask, manage stressful situations, and communicate with people from all walks of life.
Education and Early Medical Training
Dr. Eidemiller’s academic career began at the University of Idaho, where he earned dual bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. This interdisciplinary approach helped him develop a broad understanding of the world and the ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultures. After completing his undergraduate degrees, Dr. Eidemiller moved to Boise, where he completed his medical school prerequisites at Boise State University. He studied chemistry, biology, and anatomy there, laying the foundation for his future medical education. Additionally, Dr. Eidemiller spent three years in biomedical research, focusing on systems biology and human health. In 2012, he enrolled in the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, where his medical career truly began.

Throughout his four years at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. Eidemiller rotated through multiple specialties, including general medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and psychiatry. These rotations gave him a well-rounded perspective on patient care and taught him how to approach different medical challenges.
Upon graduation in 2016, Dr. Eidemiller entered an emergency medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno, one of California's busiest emergency departments. During his residency, he was exposed to a wide range of medical emergencies, from trauma and gunshot wounds to cardiac arrests and strokes. He developed specialized skills in airway management, resuscitation, and procedures such as central line placements and ultrasound-guided interventions. His time at UCSF-Fresno gave him the hands-on experience to handle even the most critical medical cases confidently and precisely.
Leadership and Professional Growth
After completing his residency, Dr. Eidemiller worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, where he continued honing his emergency physician skills. In 2020, he joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group. There, his role expanded as he took on more leadership responsibilities. His ability to communicate effectively, coordinate patient care, and ensure a smooth workflow within the emergency department quickly made him a trusted team member.
In 2024, Dr. Eidemiller was appointed Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group. Despite the administrative demands of this position, he remains dedicated to patient care and continues to treat patients directly. He also works moonlighting shifts at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno to maintain his clinical skills and stay engaged with high-acuity cases.
